The program can change according to the weather, river conditions and wishes of the group.
We leave from Cusco by private bus very early in the morning, at 4 a. m., collecting you from your hotel.
In around 5 hours we arrive in Ajanaco, entrance to the Manu National Park, where we stop for breakfast and to walk to the viewpoint. From there we continue by bus, entering the high jungle. Around 11 a.m. we arrive in San Pedro. There we make a walk in the cloud forest, for about 5 hours. There we have the opportunity to observe different plants and wildlife, especially birds, like collared trogon, quatzel, umbrella bird, Emerald toucan, and blue crowned motmot. It´s also likely to see woolly monkey, brown capuchin monkey and coati. We will make a lunch break and then, returning from the walk, we will see the national bird of Peru, the cock of the rock. Then we continue by bus to Pilcopata, arriving around 6 p.m.
After a short rest we go to Villa Carmen to have a night walk to search for caimans, toads, spiders and other invertebrates like katydids. We also listen to frogs voices.
We return to Pilcopata, where we eat a dinner and then return to Cusco, arriving around 4 a.m. in the morning.
